Most if not all insinkerators have a dishwasher hose connection at the top of the disposal near the neck. One thing to keep in mind is that there is a knockout inside the dishwasher inlet pipe. You will to unhook the garbage disposal if it is already installed.
For this purpose is to remove the knockout piece once it has been knocked out. If your garbage disposal hasn’t been installed yet you will want to knock the knockout out of the inlet pipe before you install the disposal.
Once you have done this you can proceed with reinstalling or installing the insinkerator. After you finish installing it is time to attach the dishwasher hose to the inlet pipe on the disposal. Now if you’re using a new dishwasher the drain hose should have come with a spring clamp for the hose.
Sometimes you can push the dishwasher hose on and apply the spring clamp with just your hands by squeezing the ends together. If its too strong to press together by hand you will want to use a pair of pliers to assist in putting the clamp on. Press the clamp on the hose end about half way should be sufficient for the hose, hose clamp and inlet pipe to seal it so that it doesn’t leak.
